Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 3.01% or 520.0 points to trade at 17800.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.61% or 35.0 points to end at 1375.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 2.35% or 210.0 points to 9150.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 7.30% or 325.0 points to trade at 4130.0 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 2.69% or 50.0 points to end at 1810.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 2.67% or 360.0 points to 13120.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.33% or 0.40 to $122.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.69% or 21.00 to hit $3035.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.65 to trade at $1214.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.78% to 3113.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.34% to 866.77.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 95.42.
