Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Holding Companies and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 5.99% or 5.54 points to trade at 97.94 at the close. Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU) added 5.99% or 51 points to end at 905 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 5.58% or 62 points to 1172 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 9.71% or 133 points to trade at 1236 in late trade. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 5.79% or 20.00 points to end at 325.00 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 1.80% or 0.90 points to 49.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.33% or 1.08 to $47.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.26% or 1.08 to hit $48.85 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.52% or 6.90 to trade at $1317.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.34% to 10.8700, while USD/MAD fell 0.22% to 9.8092.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 96.30.
