Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Pharmaceutical Industry and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.07% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which rose 4.16% or 1.00 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 3.14% or 1.56 points to end at 51.10 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was up 2.20% or 2.80 points to 130.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 10.00% or 145 points to trade at 1305 in late trade. Colorado (CS:COL) declined 5.98% or 3.18 points to end at 49.92 and Rebab Company (CS:REBA) shed 5.71% or 8.00 points to 132.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.00% or 0.49 to $48.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.29% or 0.65 to hit $49.70 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.65 to trade at $1285.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.27% to 10.9070, while USD/MAD rose 0.42% to 9.7255.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.60% at 94.99.
