Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.86% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.52% or 40.0 points to trade at 2665.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 0.80% or 120.0 points to end at 15100.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.38% or 80.0 points to 21060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 2.72% or 15.0 points to trade at 536.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 2.69% or 35.0 points to end at 1265.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.55% or 250.0 points to 9550.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 3.63% or 4.98 to $132.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.52% or 67.50 to hit $1851.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 11.84 to trade at $1278.56 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 2967.57, while BRL/COP rose 0.50% to 934.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.71.
