Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.44% or 400.0 points to trade at 28240.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 1.38% or 0.3 points to end at 22.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) was up 0.83% or 10.0 points to 1215.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.21% or 220.0 points to trade at 9750.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.44% or 160.0 points to end at 10960.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 1.15% or 360.0 points to 30940.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.04% or 2.95 to $147.52 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.41% or 30.50 to hit $2198.50 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1185.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.83% to 2953.34, while BRL/COP rose 0.89% to 924.39.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 102.02.
