Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 3.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 9.09% or 11.90 points to trade at 142.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 8.12% or 8.40 points to end at 111.90 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 6.30% or 9.7 points to 163.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 1.21% or 3.0 points to trade at 250.5 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) added 1.30% or 4.2 points to end at 326.9 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was up 1.47% or 2.8 points to 192.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 372 to 71 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 8.60% or 3.32 to $41.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 7.85% or 3.38 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.60 to trade at $1123.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.74% to 9.5274, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.00% to 8.4830.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 95.85.
