You need to eat but you don't need to hoard toilet paper  or expect to pay for milk at $1 a litre. I think the profits are from the unethical capatalism of FOMO, and addictions to processed foods and excessive packaging. The business model is currently supported by the current world economic systems. But certainly most retail are unethical, and just talk the talk not walk the talk and make it very difficult for any staff or company trying to break the market that truely act on an aim to zero gross emissions.
