Location of Yandal's projects.
Underexplored
The Ironstone Well and Barwidgee tenements cover more than 53 kilometres of strike between Jundee and Bronzewing.
They are centrally located between the two biggest deposits in the Yandal Greenstone Belt, with three standout prospects: Oblique, Quarter Moon and New England Granite.
The company has a minerals system approach to exploration targeting here, including independent consultants with a track-record of discovery to help develop targets.
Targeting a gold camp at Ironstone Well and Barwidgee.
Highly prospective
The Mt McClure project is a more than 12-kilometre-long gold system on granted mining leases located 15 kilometres southwest of the Bronzewing processing plant.
Historical mining from shallow oxide open pits has yielded 100,000 ounces at about 3 g/t gold to a maximum depth of 60-100 metres.
The majority of the mining took place when the gold price was at A$500-A$1,000 per ounce.
Yandal has an initial mineral resource estimate of 182,200 ounces at 1.4 g/t gold for Mt McClure, with ample scope down-plunge and along strike to increase the resource.
Broad-spaced deep drilling programs undertaken by Yandal has confirmed mineralisation extends up to 240 metres beneath each historical pit.
Fertile system
Meanwhile, Gordons, 30 kilometres from Kalgoorlie, has high-grade prospects within its tenements covering 56 square kilometres.
The prospect sits in similar structural setting to the 6.4-million-ounce Kanowna Belle Gold Mine and 1-million-ounce Paddington Gold Mine and is within haulage distance to multiple gold processing plants.
Consultant Ben McCormack of Outlier Geoscience has interpreted a significant structural corridor, the Gordon Sirdar-Shear Zone (GSSZ), which extends through the Star of Gordon Prospect to the immediate south of the Gordon Project towards the Kanowna Belle.
The underexplored Gordons is a significant new opportunity for Yandal.
