Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Information Technology and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE), which rose 2.27% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.160 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 2.10% or 1.54 points to end at 75.00 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 1.93% or 0.21 points to 11.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included mBank (WA:MBK), which lost 4.58% or 19.30 points to trade at 401.70 in late trade. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 1.07% or 1.40 points to end at 129.58 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) shed 0.81% or 0.09 points to 11.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 310 to 278 and 171 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.84% or 0.99 to $52.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.83% or 1.03 to hit $55.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 15.85 to trade at $1234.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.21% to 4.2913, while USD/PLN rose 0.54% to 4.0822.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 102.10.
