Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.65% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 4.05% or 0.47 points to trade at 12.08 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 3.08% or 1.42 points to end at 47.50 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.60% or 0.210 points to 8.275 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 2.86% or 0.99 points to trade at 33.65 in late trade. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 0.15% or 0.06 points to end at 41.41 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) gained 0.50% or 0.18 points to 36.08.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 128 to 45 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.37% or 0.17 to $45.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $42.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.32% or 4.35 to trade at $1345.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1111, while EUR/GBP rose 0.46% to 0.8542.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 96.09.
