Feb 3 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening 15 points higher at 6,531 on Wednesday, according to financial bookmakers, with futures .FFIc1 up 0.47% ahead of cash market open.
* VODAFONE: Vodafone VOD.L said organic service revenue returned to growth in its third quarter, with a rise of 0.4% soundly beating analysts' expectations for a fall of 0.1%. GSK: Britain's GlaxoSmithKline GSK.L and German biotech firm CureVac 5CV.DE struck a 150-million-euro deal to develop next-generation vaccines against COVID-19 that target several variants in one product. FERGUSON: Ferguson FERG.L said it expects its additional share listing on the New York Stock Exchange to be effective in early March. GLENCORE: Glencore GLEN.L said copper and cobalt production fell in 2020 after the closure of its Mutanda mine in Democratic Republic of Congo mine. ASTRAZENECA: Oxford University and AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine showed in a study it had 76% efficacy against symptomatic infection for three months after a single dose, which increased if the second shot is delayed. BHP: Lawyers for about 200,000 Brazilian claimants, whose multi-billion dollar lawsuit against miner BHP BHPB.L , BHP.AX over a 2015 dam collapse was struck down last November, said they will petition the English Court of Appeal to review the case. SILVER: Silver attempted a rebound after an over 8% plunge in the previous session prompted investors to buy in. OIL: Oil prices rose in Asia after hitting their highest in about a year in the previous session. The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed 0.8% higher on Tuesday following optimism about economic stimulus and a faster global recovery, while oil manufacturing major BP BP.L dropped after reporting weak earnings.
