Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Transport, Real Estate & Construction and Finance & Investment sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General fell 0.66% to hit a new 1-month low, while the ADX General index declined 1.13%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE), which rose 4.27% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.200 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) added 4.10% or 0.024 points to end at 0.609 and Dubai Parks and Resorts PJSC (DU:DUBA) was up 1.59% or 0.020 points to 1.280 in late trade.

Biggest losers included AJMAN BANK PJSC (DU:AJBNK), which lost 3.87% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.740 in late trade. Dubai Financial Market PJSC (DU:DFM) declined 2.42% or 0.030 points to end at 1.210 and Emaar Malls Group (DU:EMAA) shed 2.31% or 0.06 points to 2.54.

The top performers on the ADX General were Rak Ceramics (AD:RKCE) which rose 1.54% to 3.30, Gulf Pharm Ind (AD:GPHI) which was up 1.33% to settle at 2.29 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which gained 1.33% to close at 0.7600.

The worst performers were Invest Bank AD (AD:INVB) which was down 9.09% to 2.00 in late trade, Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which lost 8.30% to settle at 2.43 and Int Fish Farmi (AD:ASMK) which was down 3.23% to 1.50 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 14 fell and 7 advanced, while 2 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.45% or 0.22 to $48.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1252.70 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED rose 0.10% to 4.1184.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.29.
