Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Basic Metals and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ), which rose 8.96% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) added 8.17% or 0.64 points to end at 8.47 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 6.90% or 0.24 points to 3.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 7.41% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.74% or 1.05 points to end at 27.00 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was down 3.68% or 0.50 points to 13.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 220 to 175 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 8.17% or 0.64 to 8.47.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.18% or 2.00 to $1104.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.23 to hit $50.67 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.07 to trade at $56.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.37% to 2.6879, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 2.9396.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.72% at 97.47.
