Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL), which rose 3.61% or 0.53 points to trade at 15.23 at the close. Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 3.35% or 0.58 points to end at 17.90 and Kartonsan (IS:KARTN) was up 3.29% or 10.00 points to 314.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS), which lost 7.53% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.720 in late trade. Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) declined 3.33% or 0.040 points to end at 1.160 and Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC) shed 2.87% or 0.100 points to 3.390.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 133 and 61 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.20% or 2.35 to $1205.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.98% or 0.96 to hit $47.44 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 0.76 to trade at $50.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.7439, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 3.9857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.34.
