Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Basic Metals and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 2.57% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 6.59% or 0.96 points to trade at 15.52 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 5.16% or 1.040 points to end at 21.200 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 1.33% or 0.44 points to 33.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO), which lost 16.29% or 0.720 points to trade at 3.700 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 9.66% or 0.480 points to end at 4.490 and Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) shed 9.01% or 0.100 points to 1.010.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 348 to 35 and 19 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $1294.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.34% or 0.20 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.23 to trade at $63.15 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.27% to 3.9553, while EUR/TRY rose 1.02% to 4.6965.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 93.13.
