Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.79% or 1.690 points to trade at 16.030 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) added 3.13% or 0.040 points to end at 1.320 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 1.17% or 0.030 points to 2.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA), which lost 9.34% or 21.20 points to trade at 205.80 in late trade. Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) declined 5.91% or 0.110 points to end at 1.750 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) shed 5.56% or 2.95 points to 50.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 299 to 76 and 32 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1201.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.28 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.16 to trade at $76.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.97% to 6.4707, while EUR/TRY rose 1.39% to 7.5108.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
