Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Food & Beverages and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO), which rose 4.29% or 0.190 points to trade at 4.620 at the close. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) added 4.13% or 4.90 points to end at 123.50 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 3.16% or 0.41 points to 13.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which lost 9.50% or 2.560 points to trade at 24.380 in late trade. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 6.40% or 1.880 points to end at 27.500 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) shed 4.76% or 0.500 points to 10.010.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 276 to 92 and 37 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 3.00 to $1284.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.10% or 0.06 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.18 to trade at $64.11 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.34% to 3.8549, while EUR/TRY fell 0.24% to 4.4964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 94.25.
