Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Metals and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 3.85% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) added 3.73% or 0.050 points to end at 1.390 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was up 3.33% or 0.010 points to 0.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which lost 19.96% or 2.250 points to trade at 9.020 in late trade. Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) declined 7.37% or 0.160 points to end at 2.010 and Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) shed 6.70% or 0.130 points to 1.810.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 306 to 76 and 25 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.51% or 6.30 to $1241.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.71% or 0.90 to hit $51.68 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.17% or 0.72 to trade at $60.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.65% to 5.3755, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 6.0761.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 97.505.
