Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK), which rose 7.69% or 0.500 points to trade at 7.000 at the close. ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) added 6.36% or 0.250 points to end at 4.180 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 5.48% or 1.86 points to 35.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which lost 3.63% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.580 in late trade. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) declined 3.06% or 0.030 points to end at 0.950 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) shed 2.96% or 0.36 points to 11.82.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 185 to 144 and 75 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.05% or 0.64 to $1273.84 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.39% or 1.37 to hit $58.77 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.59% or 1.62 to trade at $64.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.18% to 3.9269, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 4.6620.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 93.07.
