Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 4.53% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 3.65% or 0.38 points to end at 10.78 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.64% or 1.14 points to 32.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which lost 2.52% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.250 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 1.87% or 0.31 points to end at 16.24 and Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) shed 1.63% or 0.29 points to 17.51.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 138 and 68 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1257.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.51% or 0.29 to hit $57.33 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.12 to trade at $63.43 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.52% to 3.8659, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 4.5488.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 93.88.
