Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 2.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 13.75% or 0.440 points to trade at 3.640 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 12.87% or 0.690 points to end at 6.050 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 9.22% or 0.630 points to 7.460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which lost 2.85% or 0.390 points to trade at 13.280 in late trade. Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) declined 0.71% or 0.08 points to end at 11.20 and Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) shed 0.69% or 0.010 points to 1.440.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 303 to 71 and 34 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.31% or 3.97 to $1290.03 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.07% or 0.52 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.27% or 0.66 to trade at $51.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.40% to 3.5210, while EUR/TRY fell 0.79% to 4.1489.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 93.29.
