Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.92% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.640 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 4.88% or 0.41 points to end at 8.81 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 3.94% or 1.30 points to 34.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which lost 2.36% or 1.18 points to trade at 48.92 in late trade. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) declined 1.81% or 1.40 points to end at 75.90 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 1.31% or 0.060 points to 4.530.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 262 to 86 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.58% or 7.41 to $1290.41 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.19% or 0.62 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.56% or 0.91 to trade at $57.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 3.6592, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 4.3361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 93.04.
