Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.36% or 1.520 points to trade at 14.900 at the close. Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) added 7.01% or 0.42 points to end at 6.41 and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) was up 6.67% or 0.45 points to 7.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which lost 4.40% or 0.86 points to trade at 18.70 in late trade. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 4.30% or 0.170 points to end at 3.780 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) shed 2.85% or 0.62 points to 21.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 224 to 137 and 47 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.36% or 16.40 to $1189.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.54% or 0.40 to hit $73.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.81% or 0.68 to trade at $83.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 6.1388, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 7.0461.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.56.
