Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Leasing & Factoring and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 6.63% or 0.480 points to trade at 7.720 at the close. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) added 6.00% or 3.90 points to end at 68.90 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.89% or 0.330 points to 7.080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which lost 2.79% or 0.39 points to trade at 13.61 in late trade. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) declined 2.66% or 0.56 points to end at 20.50 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) shed 2.51% or 0.110 points to 4.280.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 204 to 130 and 70 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.53% or 6.90 to $1308.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.98% or 0.75 to trade at $75.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.74% to 4.6901, while EUR/TRY fell 0.86% to 5.4577.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.94% at 94.44.
