Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS), which rose 5.45% or 0.72 points to trade at 13.92 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) added 4.66% or 0.48 points to end at 10.78 and Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) was up 3.15% or 0.47 points to 15.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which lost 4.46% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.570 in late trade. ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) declined 3.72% or 0.200 points to end at 5.180 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) shed 2.94% or 0.140 points to 4.630.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 168 to 166 and 74 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.80 to $1202.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.47% or 0.32 to hit $67.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $76.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 3.10% to 6.3788, while EUR/TRY fell 3.64% to 7.3837.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 95.31.
