Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Food & Beverages and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 19.96% or 9.80 points to trade at 58.90 at the close. Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 7.02% or 0.040 points to end at 0.610 and Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) was up 4.26% or 0.26 points to 6.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which lost 9.50% or 0.85 points to trade at 8.10 in late trade. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) declined 4.41% or 1.26 points to end at 27.34 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) shed 4.11% or 0.06 points to 1.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 242 to 115 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.55% or 30.40 to $1223.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.13% or 1.56 to hit $71.61 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.23% or 1.85 to trade at $81.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.45% to 5.9897, while EUR/TRY fell 0.90% to 6.9430.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.88.
