Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Food & Beverages and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 6.93% or 0.370 points to trade at 5.710 at the close. Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) added 6.78% or 3.30 points to end at 52.00 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 5.99% or 0.98 points to 17.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which lost 5.67% or 1.94 points to trade at 32.30 in late trade. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 4.75% or 0.290 points to end at 5.810 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) shed 2.92% or 0.190 points to 6.310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 264 to 97 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.33% or 4.10 to $1255.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.75% or 0.55 to hit $74.00 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.07% or 1.61 to trade at $79.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 4.5883, while EUR/TRY rose 0.93% to 5.3605.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 94.28.
