Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 19.10% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.060 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 6.44% or 0.720 points to end at 11.900 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was up 6.25% or 0.400 points to 6.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which lost 8.05% or 1.25 points to trade at 14.27 in late trade. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) declined 5.68% or 0.420 points to end at 6.980 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) shed 3.96% or 0.840 points to 20.360.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 126 and 50 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.86% or 11.11 to $1283.79 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $63.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.9657, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 4.7010.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.18.
