Investing.com - After a series of postponements, the first-ever Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Cybertruck has finally come off the assembly line this past Saturday in Austin, Texas. The news was announced via a celebratory tweet from the electric vehicle manufacturer itself. In response to their achievement, CEO Elon Musk lauded his team's efforts through Twitter.
The avant-garde pickup truck was originally introduced by Musk back in 2019 as a prototype. However, its production saw numerous setbacks attributed to supply-chain complications according to Tesla statements.
Only earlier this year did Musk confirm that initial production of Cybertrucks would commence within the year and full-scale manufacturing is set for 2024.
Regarded as one of Tesla’s most significant vehicle launches since the Model 3 introduction in 2017, industry analysts are predicting that it will substantially contribute towards driving up sales numbers.
While Wall Street predicts less than ten thousand deliveries for this year based on Barron’s report; they foresee an exponential growth with approximately one hundred thousand anticipated deliveries by 2024.
