Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 2.03% or 3.1 points to trade at 155.6 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 0.95% or 1.30 points to end at 137.80 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.73% or 1.5 points to 208.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 2.34% or 0.63 points to trade at 26.27 in late trade. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 1.86% or 3.40 points to end at 179.20 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) shed 1.86% or 5.3 points to 279.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 290 to 244 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.13% or 1.50 to $37.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.97% or 1.15 to hit $39.89 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1229.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.2193, while USD/SEK fell 0.00% to 8.3158.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.86.
