Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.07% or 3.35 points to trade at 165.05 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.04% or 2.1 points to end at 107.8 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.99% or 9.6 points to 491.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 5.39% or 7.1 points to trade at 124.2 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 4.79% or 2.01 points to end at 39.92 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 3.79% or 9.80 points to 248.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 390 to 245 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $69.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.41% or 0.32 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.00 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.48% to 10.6459, while USD/SEK rose 0.06% to 9.1431.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
