Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 10.79% or 8.5 points to trade at 87.7 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 4.46% or 18.5 points to end at 433.5 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 3.79% or 6.0 points to 165.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 1.17% or 8.6 points to trade at 726.8 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.53% or 0.55 points to end at 103.80 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 229.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 410 to 219 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.17% or 2.23 to $55.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.88% or 1.80 to hit $64.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1226.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.52% to 10.2886, while USD/SEK fell 0.60% to 9.0404.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 96.660.
