Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.35% or 3.3 points to trade at 143.9 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 1.87% or 1.3 points to end at 70.8 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 1.74% or 2.46 points to 143.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.69% or 1.51 points to trade at 39.44 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 1.07% or 2.4 points to end at 222.0 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) shed 0.82% or 1.10 points to 133.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 364 to 337 and 98 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $49.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $52.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.70 to trade at $1260.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 9.6071, while USD/SEK rose 0.49% to 8.1896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.66.
