Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 1.92% or 0.670 points to trade at 35.550 at the close. Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) added 1.59% or 2.30 points to end at 147.05 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.70% or 0.17 points to 24.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which lost 4.71% or 0.936 points to trade at 18.930 in late trade. Acerinox (MC:ACX) declined 2.67% or 0.250 points to end at 9.120 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) shed 2.58% or 0.066 points to 2.490.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 87 and 18 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.01% or 0.15 to $1282.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.74% or 1.48 to hit $52.56 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.74% or 1.72 to trade at $61.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1365, while EUR/GBP fell 0.53% to 0.8767.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.928.
