Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 3.02% or 0.330 points to trade at 11.260 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 2.86% or 1.640 points to end at 59.000 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 2.32% or 0.50 points to 22.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferrovial (MC:FER), which lost 1.91% or 0.325 points to trade at 16.710 in late trade. Acciona (MC:ANA) declined 1.80% or 1.200 points to end at 65.300 and Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) shed 1.78% or 0.162 points to 8.930.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 88 and 16 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.33% or 17.50 to $1337.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $62.47 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.20% or 0.13 to trade at $65.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.2407, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 89.56.
