Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.75% or 0.750 points to trade at 28.000 at the close. Indra A (MC:IDR) added 1.73% or 0.180 points to end at 10.570 and Mapfre (MC:MAP) was up 1.29% or 0.034 points to 2.673 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which lost 6.14% or 0.133 points to trade at 2.034 in late trade. Viscofan (MC:VIS) declined 1.14% or 0.700 points to end at 60.500 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) shed 0.93% or 0.110 points to 11.720.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 57 and 29 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1220.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.69 to trade at $74.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.34% to 1.1593, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8951.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.99.
