Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 7.76% or 6.50 points to trade at 90.30 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 0.77% or 1.0 points to end at 130.5 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 0.31% or 0.03 points to 9.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 6.43% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.60 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.03% or 1.1 points to end at 27.1 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 3.75% or 9.4 points to 241.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 122 to 42 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.20% or 1.11 to $49.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.21% or 1.15 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1273.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.63% to 9.2881, while USD/NOK rose 0.95% to 8.2326.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 94.38.
