Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 2.61% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which fell 0.62% or 0.0500 points to trade at 7.9700 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) fell 0.71% or 0.1100 points to end at 15.4900 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 0.74% or 0.0250 points to 3.3530 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 8.11% or 0.0211 points to trade at 0.2392 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 6.48% or 0.0170 points to end at 0.2455 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) shed 6.06% or 0.2050 points to 3.1800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 31 to 3 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.39% or 0.29 to $75.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.36% or 1.60 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1301.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1549, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8717.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 94.76.
