Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 1.46% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 15.85% or 0.0290 points to trade at 0.2120 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) added 3.36% or 0.0330 points to end at 1.0160 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.35% or 0.0460 points to 3.4480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 2.94% or 0.0360 points to trade at 1.1880 in late trade. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 2.64% or 0.080 points to end at 2.950 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) shed 2.56% or 0.300 points to 11.400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.64% or 0.43 to $67.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.33% or 0.21 to hit $63.94 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.20 to trade at $1330.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.2388, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 89.48.
