Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 0.33% or 0.0006 points to trade at 0.1800 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) added 0.23% or 0.0060 points to end at 2.5760 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.11% or 0.0010 points to 0.8790 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 4.08% or 0.0830 points to trade at 1.9520 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 2.94% or 0.4100 points to end at 13.5400 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) shed 2.26% or 0.0215 points to 0.9295.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 3.13% or 1.93 to $59.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 3.73% or 2.00 to hit $51.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.95 to trade at $1303.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1440, while EUR/GBP rose 0.46% to 0.8683.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 95.343.
