Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 0.89% or 0.1500 points to trade at 17.0900 at the close. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:RAMA) added 0.51% or 0.050 points to end at 9.950 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.17% or 0.020 points to 11.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 4.33% or 0.0950 points to trade at 2.1000 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 3.48% or 0.0092 points to end at 0.2550 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 3.32% or 0.1090 points to 3.1780.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 9 and 1 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.89% or 1.54 to $82.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.61% or 1.16 to hit $73.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 8.30 to trade at $1195.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1612, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.8900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.70.
