Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which rose 0.74% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.8150 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 0.74% or 0.070 points to end at 9.560 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.50% or 0.0120 points to 2.4080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which lost 3.69% or 0.1420 points to trade at 3.7020 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 3.36% or 0.4800 points to end at 13.8200 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 2.94% or 0.0075 points to 0.2475.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.31% or 0.19 to $61.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $52.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.65 to trade at $1244.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1336, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.955.
