Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.76% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 0.57% or 0.1000 points to trade at 17.5000 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 0.49% or 0.0045 points to end at 0.9195 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.48% or 0.0160 points to 3.3680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 6.18% or 0.1600 points to trade at 2.4300 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 2.97% or 0.0260 points to end at 0.8480 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) shed 2.95% or 0.280 points to 9.220.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $78.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $69.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 8.70 to trade at $1198.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1577, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.9008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 95.40.
