Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 1.63% or 0.0760 points to trade at 4.7340 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.65% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.2800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 0.42% or 0.0010 points to 0.2395 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which lost 1.97% or 0.1500 points to trade at 7.4700 in late trade. REN (LS:RENE) declined 1.74% or 0.0440 points to end at 2.4840 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 1.56% or 0.160 points to 10.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $66.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.29% or 0.18 to hit $62.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.70 to trade at $1318.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.2344, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 89.39.
