Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 2.53% or 0.300 points to trade at 12.150 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) added 0.93% or 0.0220 points to end at 2.3960 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.33% or 0.0100 points to 3.0060 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 3.80% or 0.1150 points to trade at 2.9100 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 2.37% or 0.3100 points to end at 12.7600 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 1.75% or 0.0160 points to 0.8960.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.18% or 0.14 to $77.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.91% or 0.66 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1251.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1579, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.91.
