Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.56% or 0.0510 points to trade at 3.3230 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.34% or 0.0710 points to end at 5.3800 and Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) was up 1.32% or 0.0050 points to 0.3830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP (LS:EDP), which lost 2.74% or 0.0850 points to trade at 3.0150 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.92% or 0.3150 points to end at 16.0850 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 1.28% or 0.1950 points to 15.0000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.68% or 1.53 to $55.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.13% or 1.59 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 3.09 to trade at $1276.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1728, while EUR/GBP rose 0.64% to 0.8983.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.69.
