Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 1.26% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.260 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.30% or 0.0100 points to end at 3.3540 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 4.9300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 2.10% or 0.0600 points to trade at 2.8000 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.82% or 0.1500 points to end at 8.0700 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) shed 1.63% or 0.2150 points to 13.0000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.49% or 0.38 to $77.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.59% or 0.41 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.20 to trade at $1205.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1658, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8961.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 94.72.
