Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP), which rose 1.64% or 0.2600 points to trade at 16.1600 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.13% or 0.0780 points to end at 6.9780 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 1.06% or 0.038 points to 3.635 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 8.08% or 0.4590 points to trade at 5.2210 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.20% or 0.1140 points to end at 3.4470 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 3.06% or 0.5250 points to 16.6250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.85% or 1.77 to $63.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.55% or 1.42 to hit $57.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.99% or 12.56 to trade at $1281.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1610, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.8827.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.67.
