Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 1.03% or 0.0900 points to trade at 8.8000 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 0.90% or 0.1150 points to end at 12.8300 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 0.78% or 0.0380 points to 4.9040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 3.28% or 0.360 points to trade at 10.600 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 1.78% or 0.3150 points to end at 17.4200 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.25% or 0.0033 points to 0.2617.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.38% or 0.28 to $73.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.94% or 0.65 to hit $68.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.10 to trade at $1225.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.1594, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 94.86.
