Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.21% or 0.0135 points to trade at 0.2725 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) added 1.24% or 0.0320 points to end at 2.6120 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.92% or 0.0280 points to 3.0580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 1.31% or 0.0037 points to trade at 0.2781 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) declined 0.82% or 0.0400 points to end at 4.8400 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) shed 0.75% or 0.1100 points to 14.5400.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 16 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.40% or 1.03 to $74.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.70% or 0.48 to hit $68.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 5.80 to trade at $1317.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.2097, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 91.51.
